“To Absent Friends”: AIDS and the Rocky Horror Community by Akira Albar-Kluck. 

I have a chapter in the forthcoming Feminist Press anthology, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Rocky Horror. My chapter is my journey with the film and subculture about grief. I delve into a personal grief journey that colored my experience with the subculture, as well as community grief. The chapter is an attempt to name and memorialize those in the community who were lost to HIV/AIDS.
